CLINICAL
A licensed clinical aesthetician is a professional who has specialized in skin care, especially non-invasive cosmetic, and laser treatments. Clinical aestheticians are trained and licensed skin care specialists who work together with other medical and beauty professionals in medical settings like beauty spa, spa clinics doing laser and light-based procedures.

Clinical estheticians help patients with skin conditions, skin traumas and aging skin to heal and rejuvenate the appearance of the skin. Estheticians can administer chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser therapy, and potent acids. We offer all courses modules for your clinical aesthetics license.

The Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia, is currently working on the clinical aesthetics license and can soon come in effect.

The program includes in – depth knowledge of skin care, human anatomy, physiology, pathology and histology, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser science, treatments as well as dermaplaning, dermal needling.

Our program also includes spa and salon functions that introduce students to the customer service, operational, and legal aspects of a Medical Aesthetics and/or Aesthetics business.
​
The program is designed to provide students hands-on practical experience during their studies at the school by serving clients and practicing on models. Medika Beauty Institute allows our students to perfect their skills within a safe learning environment.
We have 5 registered modules for clinical aesthetics that you can have completed to fulfill the clinical program. You can do this while you work as its generally two days a week.
